Update as of 21/03/2013:
Due to server overload we have had to restrict access to Fotopic to users with
usernames commencing with numbers “0″-”9″, and the letters “A” and “B”

Update as of 20/03/2013:
Users with large image galleries continue to access and crash our servers.
We will soon disable access to such accounts to make it possible for others to download
their pictures. We have so far offered the Fotopic download as a free service but are
having to spend (paid) time of our developer to deal with people’s issues.
Please stop the complaints.
It was a team decision and effort and sheer determination to get the system up and
running again this far. To us it is just hassle and cost but the knowledge that
people are salvaging their cherished images, which makes it all worthwhile for us.
Please respect that and praise the things that work before you criticize the things
that don’t.

We have extended the time available for free downloads to 7th April 2013.

We have noticed that there are about 100,000 images that were stored on another
external server. These images have been irretrievably lost.
Please note, however, that all in all 99.9% of all pictures have been able to be
downloaded by their account holders. We are delighted about that.

After 7th April 2013 a charge will be made for access to individual photo libraries
and for sending out images on a CD.

Kind regards
The Fotopic Team

Update as of 13/03/2013:
We have been notified by one user that they experienced problems downloading
some of their pictures which were located on one of our servers, in view of this
we have extended the time available for free downloads to the 20th March 2013.

If you have noticed any pictures missing from your downloads you can go back onto
the Fotopic site, clear your existing download history and re-process the downloads.

Access to the Fotopic download site will be deactivated on 21st March 2013.
After that date a charge will be made for accessing individual photo libraries.

Kind regards
The Fotopic Team

that they have been able to retrieve their photographs.

October 2012:

Dear Fotopic Users

It’s official!

We are working on allowing access to Fotopic.net for former users to download their pictures.

Snappy Designs Ltd, the company running Fotopic.net, went into liquidation in 2011.
The assets of the company were bought by a private buyer in the hope of resuscitating Fotopic
and integrating it into their photo portal.

Subsequently this was found to be too costly an operation to set up and run. We reluctantly
abandoned our plans but were aware that users still had photographs on the site of which
they had no copies.

For technical reasons it has taken us a while to get Fotopic operational again.
We have only opened up Fotopic to allow existing users to view and download their pictures.
Once this process is completed the site will be shut down again. So if you have images you
want to retrieve please download them as soon as you are given access.

We are providing access on a rolling basis alphabetically on a trial basis, to make sure that
our servers can cope with the anticipated load. Initially only users with usernames beginning
with “0″ to “9″ or the letter “a” will be given access. Notification will be via email.
If all goes well we will soon roll out access to more users.
